About the Moab trip
Red rock, slickrock, and some of the best desert riding anywhere. We're pairing wilderness medicine lectures with guided days on Moab's classic trails. Bring legs and a curiosity about what happens when either one fails a long way from the trailhead.
Why Moab
Moab rides like nowhere else. The slickrock gives you grip you won't believe until your tires are on it, and the terrain stacks up in a way that keeps paying off — you drop out of alpine forest into red rock desert in a single descent. October is the sweet spot: the summer heat has broken and the light gets long and low across the canyons.
-
The Whole Enchilada
~26 miles · ~7,000 ft of descent
The big one. You start above 11,000 feet in alpine forest and finish in slickrock desert, linking seven trails on the way down. The Porcupine Rim finale traces the canyon edge high above the Colorado River.
-
Mag 7
~20–26 miles · ~3,500 ft of descent
A shuttled point-to-point that strings together fast, flowy singletrack and technical slickrock ledges. Canyon-rim views the entire way, with the option to bail before the exposed Portal finish.
-
Raptor Route
~10 miles · ~400 ft of climbing
The mellow day. Rolling desert singletrack through the Klondike Bluffs north of town — approachable grades, playful slickrock, and long views toward Arches. A good leg-loosener or recovery ride.
*Trail selection subject to change depending on group abilities and conditions. Mileage and descent vary by route variation.
Built for advanced riders
The marquee rides are black diamond terrain — sustained technical descents, real exposure, and long days in the saddle. Come with solid bike handling and the fitness to back it up.
Bikes and e-bikes both welcome
Ride whatever you ride. Analog or electric, you'll fit right in — nobody's checking your motor.
Wilderness medicine you'll actually use
Ride first thing in the morning while the light is good and the rock is cool. Lectures and hands-on skills happen in the evening, once the bikes are put away.
